SPC

Statistical Process Control SPC is an effective method of monitoring a process. This is done through the use of control charts and collecting data from samples at various points within the process. Variations in the process can affect the quality of the product and can be detected and corrected, allowing the reduction of waste and prevents the problem being passed on to the customer. This early detection and prevention with the use of this process has a distinct advantage over standard quality methods, such as inspection. The use of this is proactive rather reactive.

This does reduce waste, leading to a reduction in the time required to produce the Component from end to end. Eliminating rework, reducing bottlenecks, wait times, and other sources of delays within the process.

This is an valuable tool in advancing process cycle time in reducing poor components with the improvements in yield from both a cost reduction and a customer satisfaction standpoint.
